Game hell: the beginning of the path

Accepting challenges, you are always, even a little, but you win. After all, at least you decided on a new test. But only challenging to yourself and passing it, you become stronger, gain a new experience and you better recognize yourself.

I have not read the Divine Comedy, but I know for sure that going through difficult trials, in about 90% of cases, a person will make mistakes. And, often, these mistakes have serious consequences. The nature of these mistakes is simple: man himself. If you do not challenge yourself, you can understand your weaknesses, know yourself better and become stronger. But, quite water, I will go to business.

The easiest challenge that everyone can give up is a game on the maximum complexity. And this should be the first passage. To penetrate the game as much as possible and add, so to speak, realism. But only the games of the Horror genre are suitable for this. I understood this after passing Dishonored and Alice: Madness Returns . Such games take place at any level of complexity with one scheme: understanding the mechanics of the game and the use of winning combinations. But, having tried the horror, my idea of the passage at the hardcore level of complexity has completely changed.

For my first game experience in Horror at the hardcore level of complexity, I chose Dead Space . I will not paint it, here the point is not in that. The first few murders of necromorphs forced me to make PFFFF and get upset a little. But the next two deaths did not give such a weak bun in my pride and forced to plunge into the game and be afraid with their heads. I listened to every rustle, sound, always turned around, because I am not playing a game of a person, I am Isaac Clark, a fucking engineer who is not ready for all this and just wants to survive. Well, do what should.

First, some rules that I have established for myself:

No trial passage or study of guides. There can be no preparation, because no one has prepared our character for anything.

Survive to the last. Even if the cartridges are over, life is running out – live until the end. After all, your character simply would not have surrendered, there is no conservation in his mind.

If I completely ruined the game and there is no way to move on (I tried all the ways as possible within the framework of the game world) – a complete restart is allowed.

Yes, the last rule is contrary to the first, but without it, now I will explain why by example.

I am stuck in an office with a preservation. And preserved, this is a conditional reflex! There are no charges for the cutter, “0” flaunts on the counter in the clip. Life literally one blow (even on the floor of the blow, what is it here, ready to die from sneezing). Stasis is discharged, but in the inventory the battery was dusted on his charge. And at least three necromorphs are patrolled behind the door. That is, with recklessness in the battles, I drove myself into a trap. And if I tried everything possible in the world of the game, I won’t get out of this situation, then there are two options: either throw the game, bury Isaac and let it go, or start from the very beginning.

The situation, it turns out, is forced to be added to game fears: again drive yourself into a trap. And this cannot be allowed, because you need to go through the game and start new trials.
